The NHA EHAP is intended to provide a financial assistance, to those NHA Housing beneficiaries that are affected of a calamities or some certain incidents.
Homes can get destroyed for a variety of reasons: typhoons, floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, fire, industrial accidents, terrorism, or armed conflict. When calamities strike, marginal-income families are especially vulnerable but they can't afford to rebuild their homes. For these families, the NHA extends financial support through its Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP).
Earlier today, Leyte 1,2,3/Biliran District Office of NHA Region VIII distributed financial assistance to victims of flash floods in Calubian, Leyte. A total of thirteen (13) families, whose residential structures were Totally Damaged, received Php30,000.00 each for the reconstruction of their new houses. Funds are derived from the Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP) of NHA which aims to help low-income and marginalized house-structure owners affected by man-made or natural calamities to help them rebuild their homes. The handing of EHAP cash assistance activity was held in the SB Hall of LGU-Calubian, Leyte led by OIC Engr. Silverio “Ohliver Ceasar Ian” T.
